Position Summary:  MINDA North America LLC is an engineering company specialized in conveying technology for various industries and production lines for mass timber products. We are a member of the German based MINDA-Group and serve the US / North American market. The key account manager for MINDA North America will be responsible for handling the most important client accounts in the company, with a primary focus on the Mass Timber Industry. These accounts make up the highest percentage of company income, and the key account manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. As key account manager you will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, responsible for anticipating client needs, and working within the company to ensure deadlines and commitments are met. The key account manager will also bring in new business from existing clients while developing new relationships and sales opportunities with new clients.

Key Account Manager – Mass Timber Sales and Customer Support, Sales | Granite Falls, NC / Remote USA

Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt

About the job

Essential Duties (not limited to):

  • Develop a solid and trusting relationship between major key clients and our company
  • Develop a complete understanding of key account needs and work with American and German Engineering and Sales teams to develop solutions
  • Manage communications between key clients and internal teams
  • Strategic planning to improve and increase sales opportunities
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Collaborating with the American and German sales team members
  • Expand relationships to bringing in new clients
  • Planning and participation in industry related trade shows and events
  • Active engagement with industry associations

Physical Demands:

  • The ideal job candidate must be available to perform job duties as required during normal business hours with occasional overtime.
  • The candidate must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment as necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazard or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated.
  • This job includes tasks that require sitting, walking, standing, bending, twisting, gripping, stair/ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, and occasionally lifting.
  • Periodic travel (domestic and international) for customer site visits, trade show events, and/or intra-company site visits is required.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in Mass Timber Industry
  • Technical and Commercial understanding of Automation
  • Four years' previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience
