Der Weg von Lara zu MINDA und zu ihrer aktuellen Position als Bildungsmanagerin war ein bisschen wie ein spannender Umweg. Was diese Reise mit einem Überraschungs-Ei zu tun hat und wie sie trotz lauter Post-Its einen Weg findet, den Kopf wieder freizukriegen, lest ihr in ihrer Mitarbeiterstory:

Background 

Nach der 10. Klasse habe ich erst einmal meine sieben Sachen gepackt und bin mit meinen 16 Jahren für ein Auslandsjahr in die USA losgezogen. Frei nach dem Motto „Wenn nicht jetzt, wann dann?“. Danach ging es zurück in die Realität und ich habe erstmal mein Abitur abgeschlossen. 

Nach dem Abitur habe ich eine Ausbildung zur Industriekauffrau bei der LAB microelectronic GmbH begonnen. Weil ich anscheinend nicht genug von Lernstoff bekommen kann, habe ich parallel zur Ausbildung noch die Abendschule besucht und meinen staatlich geprüften Betriebswirt gemacht. Tagsüber arbeiten, abends lernen und dazwischen noch Freunde und Hobbies unterbringen... Schlaf wurde in dieser Zeit eher optional behandelt. Nach Abschluss des Betriebswirts bin ich noch ein Jahr bei LAB geblieben, bis es mich dann auch schon zu MINDA verschlagen hat. Und hier bin ich nun :) 

Mein Weg zu MINDA war dabei ein bisschen wie ein Überraschungs-Ei. Man weiß nicht genau, was drinsteckt, aber am Ende ist’s ziemlich gut. Eigentlich kannte ich MINDA vorher gar nicht. Der entscheidende Hinweis kam dann aus der Familie: Der Sohn meines Patenonkels hat hier seine Ausbildung gemacht und da dachte ich mir „Okay, wenn er so zufrieden ist, muss da was dran sein.“ Also habe ich mich beworben (allerdings auf eine ganz andere Position als die, die ich letztendlich bekommen habe). Offensichtlich hat MINDA sich gedacht „Die passt besser woanders hin.“ Und ehrlich gesagt bereue ich diese Wende keine Sekunde. 

So bin ich am Ende also ein bisschen anders, aber genau richtig im Unternehmen gelandet. Manchmal führen die spannendsten Wege eben über Umwege (und zufriedene Familienmitglieder).   

MINDA and me  

In meinem Arbeitsalltag dreht sich eigentlich alles darum, junge, motivierte Menschen gut durch die Ausbildung, Studium oder Praktikum bei uns zu begleiten. Also von der ersten Begeisterung bis hin zum erfolgreichen Abschluss. 

Ich koordiniere alles rund um Ausbildung, Studium, Praktikum und Bildung und bin dabei irgendwo zwischen Organisatorin, Ansprechpartnerin, Wegweiserin und Problemlöserin unterwegs. Das reicht von zufriedenen Ausbildern, über die Einstellung unserer Azubis und Studierenden, bis hin zur Planung und Durchführung von Messen, Veranstaltungen und Aktionen für Schulen. Und ja, ich gebe es offen zu: Bei all den Themen sieht man meinen Schreibtisch zwischendurch kaum noch vor lauter Post-Its und Notizen! Aber das gehört bei mir fast zum Markenauftritt. 

Am Ende zählt: Die jungen Leute stehen im Fokus und dafür gebe ich jeden Tag gerne Gas! 

Motivation Proclamation 

Am meisten Spaß macht mir, dass kein Tag gleich ist. Azubis, Studenten und Praktikanten sorgen zuverlässig dafür, dass ich nie aus Versehen in eine Routine rutsche. Bildungsmanagement ist ein wenig wie ein Abenteuer: Ein bisschen Pädagogik, ein bisschen Organisation und ganz viel Improvisation.

Ich glaube meine Kollegen schätzen vor allem, dass ich eigentlich immer mit einem Lächeln unterwegs bin – egal, wie voll der Kalender gerade ist. Außerdem bin ich jemand, der immer hilft, wenn gerade Hilfe gebraucht wird und der für jedes Anliegen ein offenes Ohr hat. 

Dazu kommt eine Eigenschaft, die mich auf Schritt und Tritt verfolgt: Meine… nennen wir es „professionelle Tollpatschigkeit“. Einmal am Tag etwas verschütten, mich selbst anmalen oder über die eigenen Füße stolpern gehört bei mir quasi zum festen Ritual. 

Auf meinen Unterlagen findet man grundsätzlich irgendwelche Spuren wie z.B. Kaffeeflecken, Krümel oder kreative Abdruckmuster. Besonders getriggert hat das meinen ehemaligen Kollegen aus der Finanzbuchhaltung, mit dem ich vor meinem Abteilungswechsel zusammengearbeitet habe. Ich glaube, meine kaffeekünstlerischen Werke haben ihn manchmal mehr beschäftigt als jede Kontenabstimmung. 

Fun Facts 

In meiner Freizeit brauche ich einen guten Mix aus Bewegung, auspowern und abschalten. Viele starten entspannt auf der Couch, ich starte eher damit, mich als Torhüterin auf dem Fußballfeld irgendwelchen Bällen entgegenzuwerfen. Das ist mein liebstes Ventil für alles, was sich in der Woche so angesammelt hat. 

Wenn ich gerade nicht selbst spiele, mache ich trotzdem ordentlich Stimmung. Bei unserem Handballverein aus dem Dorf „LIT 1912“ sitze ich regelmäßig an der Trommel. Dazu kommt meine Liebe zu Werder Bremen. Stadionbesuche gehören für mich einfach dazu. Laut sein, mitfiebern, schimpfen, feiern… Emotionaler Sportausgleich deluxe. Eine etwas neuere Leidenschaft ist das Motorradfahren. Da schalte ich komplett ab: Helm auf, Straße frei, Kopf leer. 

Und mein absolutes Highlight: Mein Hund Chico! Egal, wie voll der Tag war, mit ihm wird alles entspannter, lustiger und irgendwie runder. Er ist mein bester Ausgleich und mein liebstes Hobby!

Background

After 10th form, I packed my bags and, at the age of 16, set off for a year abroad in the USA. My motto was "If not now, when?" After that, I returned to reality and I finished my high school diploma. 

After graduating from high school, I started an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at LAB microelectronic GmbH. Because I apparently can't get enough of learning, I attended night school while doing my apprenticeship and passed my certified business administration degree. Working during the day, studying in the evening, and squeezing in friends and hobbies in between... Sleep was treated as optional during this time. After completing my business administration degree, I stayed at LAB for another year before joining MINDA. And here I still am :)   

My journey to MINDA was a bit like a surprise egg. You don't know exactly what's inside, but in the end, it's pretty good.   

Actually, I didn't know MINDA before. The decisive hint came from my family: my godfather's son did his training here, and I said to myself, “Okay, if he's so happy, there must be good reasons for it.” So I applied (though for a completely different position than the one I finally got). Obviously, MINDA thought, “She better fits somewhere else.” And honestly, I haven't regretted this change for a second. 

So in the end, I ended up a little different but in exactly the right place in the company. Sometimes the most exciting developments are the ones that take detours (and happy family members). 

MINDA and me

My day-to-day work is all about supporting young, motivated people in their training, studies, or internships with us. From their initial enthusiasm to their successful graduation. I coordinate everything related to training, studies, internships, and education, acting as an organizer, contact person, guide, and trouble shooter. 

This ranges from satisfied trainers and the recruitment of our trainees and students to the planning and implementation of trade fairs, events, and campaigns for schools. And yes, I admit it frankly: with all these topics, you can hardly see my desk for all the Post-its and notes… But that's almost part of my personal brand. 

In the end, what counts is that the focus is on young people, and that's what I love to work hard for every day! 

Motivation Proclamation

What I enjoy most is that each day is different. Trainees, students, and interns do a great job of making sure I never accidentally slip into a routine. Education management is a bit like an adventure: a little bit of teaching, a little bit of organization, and a whole lot of improvisation.

I think my colleagues appreciate above all that I always have a smile on my face—no matter how full my schedule is. I'm also someone who is always ready to help when help is needed and who is open to listening to any concerns. On top of that, there's a personality feature that follows me wherever I go: my... let's call it “professional clumsiness.” Spilling something once a day, getting paint on myself, or tripping over my own feet is practically a daily ritual for me. 

My documents always have some kind of marks on them, such as coffee stains, crumbs, or creative imprints. This particularly triggered my former colleague from financial accounting, with whom I worked before changing departments. I think my coffee art sometimes bothered him more than any account balance. 

Fun facts

In my free time, I need a good mix of exercise, exertion, and relaxation. Many people start by relaxing on the couch, but I prefer to start by throwing myself at balls as a goalkeeper on the soccer field. That's my favorite escape for everything that has built up during the week.

When I'm not playing myself, I still get the crowd going. I regularly play the drums for our village handball club, “LIT 1912.” On top of that, I love Werder Bremen. Going to the stadium is simply part of my life. Being loud, cheering, yelling, celebrating... It's the ultimate emotional outlet through sports. A somewhat new passion of mine is motorcycling. It allows me to completely switch off: helmet on, road clear, mind blank.   

And my absolute highlight: my dog Chico! No matter how busy the day has been, verything becomes more relaxed, more fun, and somehow more complete with him. He is my best source of balance and my favorite hobby!
